Archives Project: 1983 Baseball Collector Series

Going into the archives today is a mysterious 1983 Casey Stengel reprint.  I can’t find much information on this one, but the card is in poor condition with some small creases at the top right corner and “STENGEL” written in ball-point pen on the bottom border.  The back says, “© B.G.H.L.I. BASEBALL COLLECTOR SERIES 1983 Reprint”.

Doing a little research online, it looks like a reprint of 1953 Bowman #39.  If anyone knows more about this card, please leave a comment and let me know.

    I found an ebay auction for the entire set of 64 of these cards that sold for $10.49 after shipping:

    So each card is probably worth $0.10 to $0.25
