“Scouts viewed Nick as one of the top high school pitchers in the country until he blew out his elbow his senior season and required Tommy John surgery. The Angels drafted him in the 14th round anyway, and Adenhart began his long road back. On May 12, 2008, that journey hit a major milestone when Nick notched his first Big League win over the White Sox.”
Ken Griffey Jr. had a brief 41-game stint with the White Sox before heading back to Seattle to finish out his career.
