2009 Topps series 1:

  1. #228 Scott Rolen
  2. #47 Jose Valverde
  3. #239 Brandon League
  4. #201 Jarrod Saltalamacchia/Josh Hamilton (Classic Combos)
  5. Turkey Red #TR48 Nate McLouth
  6. Topps Town #TTT4 Brandon Webb
  7. #273 Brian Roberts
  8. #216 Joe Maddon
  9. #247 Yuniesky Betancourt
  10. #283 John Baker

There are bigger and faster center fielders, but few who can match Nate’s heart and hustle.  His penchant for pilfering bases, making highlight-reel catches and delivering key hits earned him several Minor League MLB All-Star honors and, in 2005, his first extended Major League playing time.  He became the full-time center fielder in August 2007 and finished with 22 steals in 23 attempts.  McLouth enjoyed a breakout campaign last year as Pittsburgh’s seventh 20-20 man.  He tied the National League lead with 46 doubles, earned an MLB All-Star Game invitation and led the squad with 26 homers and 94 RBI.
