Got my 2009 Topps World Baseball Classic Rising Star Redemption!
Written by Steve on December 30th, 2009I got card #1, Korean baseball player Jin Young Lee. Kinda underwhelming since he doesn’t seem to have much of a chance of ever playing in the MLB because of his age and performance. At least it’s shiny.
“Korea faced defending champion Japan five times in the 2009 World Baseball Classic, and Lee played a critical role in one of his country’s two wins. His two-run single keyed a three-run first inning, and the Koreans held on for a 4-1 win on March 17 to lock up a spot in the semifinals. Jin Young also played in all seven of his nation’s games in the ’06 event.”
