A great contact hitter at Tustin High School, scouts feel Shawn will develop power in pro ball.  Among the school records he established were most Stolen Bases in a season (1990) and career and most Hits in career.  Shawn’s 147 Hits at Tustin rank 3rd on the all-time State of California Hit List.  He was named to 1991 All-America Teams of Collegiate Baseball, USA Today and American Baseball Coaches.

Shawn Green did develop power in pro ball, hitting over 40 homers in 1999, 2001, and 2002.  He retired before the 2008 season with over 300 career home runs and 1,000 career RBIs.
