Random pack breaks are back!  We’re gonna start with a spooky Halloween pack of 1990 Topps… scary:

In celebration of Halloween, instead of choosing the “best” card to feature, I chose the guy with the scariest face.  In this pack it was Jose Lind… menacing stare, gaping mouth, and shadow over his face, he has the scariest face in this pack hands down.

Awesome, how often do you pull a base card of a 1940′s star and Hall of Famer from a pack these days?

Maybe Topps should make an insert set featuring Hall of Famers who are still living, and showing what they look like now.  Kind of like the “When They Were Young” series last year, but more like “When They Are Old”.

Red Schoendienst is still alive and well, by the way.
