Website of the Month (R.I.P.)

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

I missed last month’s website of the month, and I kinda broke my daily baseball card blog reading habit… so rather than turn this into a tedious monthly ritual I’m going to stop doing the Website of the Month.  Instead, check out the de facto official baseball card blog listing, maintained by bdj610′s Topps Baseball Card Blog.  From now on, I’m only going to put websites that are not in that blogroll onto my links sidebar.

Sewingmachineguy on Cards

http://sewingmachineguy.blogspot.com/

It’s a sports blog that doesn’t have much at all to do about sewing.  I just really like the overall look of the blog and his writing style.  Apparently he’s a big fan of Detroit sports.

Closet Full of Cardboard

http://closetfullofcardboard.blogspot.com/

The latest site I like to hit up for some baseball card reading is Closet Full of Cardboard.  It’s fun reading with a lot of pack breaks and neat scans to look at.

On Card Autos

oncardautos.wordpress.com

On Card Autos is a baseball card blog devoted to the Chicago Cubs.  I’ve been finding myself visiting the site on a daily basis over the past week because it’s updated often and the posts have been fun to read.  The owner of the blog, Chris, collects Chicago Cubs, Nomar Garciaparra, Jeff Samardzija, Dan Haren, and Roger Maris, and he’s always willing to trade.

Mark collects baseball cards and likes to trade them online too!  I once made a trade with him, and it turns out that his blog makes for fun reading.

Nats320 — A Washington Nationals Blog

http://nats320.blogspot.com/

I think I finally found a Washington Nationals blog that is updated frequently and that I enjoy reading.  While the Nats320 blog is not a baseball card blog, it is written by a die-hard Nats fan who not only reads a lot about the Nats, but hangs out a lot at the ballpark as well.  It’s fun reading for any Nationals fan.

www.hipolitodesigns.com

This site was a great help when I was getting started in the hobby of Through-the-Mail (TTM) autographs.  Not only does he post all of his TTM successes, but he also posts the addresses he sends to, tutorials on how you can also get started, and tips for success.

natstownNatsTown

natscards.wordpress.com

Because of my proximity to the Washington Nationals, that makes me a de facto Nats fan.  Today I’m proud to present the first Nationals blog to join my blogroll.

NatsTown is a Washington Nationals/Montreal Expos blog with a focus on card collecting.
