Choosing a new card site of the month was tough this time. Ultimately, I opened up a bunch of popular card blogs and then just chose the one that I ended up spending the most time on.
The site’s self-professed purpose is to “promote card collecting as an addictive alternative to more pharmacological pursuits”. I’m not sure exactly what it is that makes the site enjoyable to read. Maybe it’s how I’m intrigued by the concept of Allen & Ginter, which the site apparently lingers on, or maybe it’s the humorous laid-back style of the site. Either way, I’m happy to make Cardboard Junkie the latest addition to my daily baseball card reading.
Sports Cards Uncensored
Here is a sports card blog that pulls no punches. The site’s author, Gellman, tells it like it is and is not afraid to offend.
This is the site to go to for budget collectors. You can find product reviews, industry news, info on free autograph signings, rising stars, and my personal favorite — Craigslist Idiots!

“Breaking news, commentary & more all for the collector”. This is the official blog of Beckett Media, producer of the Beckett Baseball magazines/price guides. They post all sorts of news about the sports card industry and new product releases.
Wax Heaven
I’ve been finding myself going to Wax Heaven every few hours lately. The site is usually updated several times throughout the day, and for baseball fans there is something for everyone. The site features baseball cards, news about the baseball card industry, posts about baseball in general, and some great stories.
bdj610′s Topps Baseball Card Blog

“Another in a long line of blogs devoted to baseball cards, specifically from the Topps Company, and the Hobby in general. Reviews on new and older sets, along with unbiased opinions, will be included.“
This is one of my favorite baseball card blogs because it focuses on Topps baseball card products. As far as I’m concerned, if you could only collect one brand of baseball cards it has to be regular Topps because of its rich history and venerable status in the hobby.
