    1. I’m not sure if any of the wax boxes were originally wrapped in plastic (it might have been done later by someone to better preserve the box). Unfortunately, unopened boxes of 1989 Topps go for about $10 these days.

    2. The best rookie in this set is Craig Biggio, which has a street value of about a dollar. The best errors belong to Bob Welch, Stan Jefferson, and Franklin Stubbs (you can probably pick them up on eBay for about 2 or 3 dollars each).

Steve does the same hold true for 1990 topps bubble gum sealed box. They appear to be factory sealed with a celaphane plastic. Any good cards in this set?

Cards from the 80′s and 90′s (especially late 80′s and early 90′s) are now considered “junk wax” because they were overproduced. Sorry to say, but they’re pretty much all worthless now except for a few notable exceptions, like the ultra-rare 1990 Topps Frank Thomas “no-name” error card.

Looks like my highly valued cards from the 80′s and 90′s are as valuable as I first thought :) . Oh well, I will keep them for sentimental reasons instead then.
