Topps 1991
The 1991 Topps set totals 792 cards and was issued in wax, rack, jumbo packs, vending boxes or factory sets. Subsets include Future Stars, Record Breakers, All-Stars, First Draft Picks, Checklists, and Manager cards. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
The box has the usual 36 packs, with 15 cards and a stick of bubble gum per pack. These packs are wrapped in a cellophane wrapper, unlike previous years, in which the packs are wrapped in a paper wrapper. Suggested retail price per pack was 50¢.
This set celebrates 40 years of Topps baseball cards (1952-1991). This year’s promotion is: “Instant win vintage Topps cards PLUS anniversary sweepstakes – win complete vintage sets 1952 to 1990. Total prize value: One million dollars (no purchase necessary — see package for details)”
Box bottom cards come in 4 sets:
Set #1: Bert Blyleven, George Brett, Brett Butler, and Andre Dawson
Set #2: Dwight Evans, Carlton Fisk, Alfredo Griffin, and Rickey Henderson
Set #3: Willie McGee, Dale Murphy, Eddie Murray, and Dave Parker
Set #4: Jeff Reardon, Nolan Ryan, Juan Samuel, and Robin Yount
My particular set is a Set #4.
At the time this set was released, the book value of the complete set was $18-$24. The current Beckett Book Value of the complete set is $8-$20.
At the time the set was released, the hottest cards were Don Mattingly error card, Alex Fernandez first Topps card, Wes Chamberlain rookie error card, and Ken Griffey Jr.
Current key cards in this set are Nolan Ryan, Don Mattingly error card, Mark McGwire error card, Chipper Jones rookie, and Barry Bonds.

I have a complete 792 picture card set unopened. For sale.

Sadly, you’d be lucky to sell the sealed factory set for more than $10 these days. I would just crack it open and have fun thumbing through the cards.

The cards in that set, if sold individually, would total a few hundred dollars at least. The Nolan Ryan card(#1) is valued at $50 according to Beckett. And thats just one card

I have the most recent Beckett and it values the Nolan Ryan card as worth between $0.60 and $1.50. Real sales tend to go for the lower end of Beckett values. Good luck selling!

I have an entire box of the packs that have never been opened. What do you think the value of it would be?
