2000 Topps hobby boxes

2000 Topps Major League Baseball Cards come with 36 packs per hobby box, 11 cards per pack.

There are 478 cards in the set, 239 cards in series 1, 240 in series 2.

The theme of 2000 Topps was Mark McGwire and Hank Aaron.  Mark McGwire had just hit his 500th home run in 1999, and was coming off of an all-time high 70-homer season in 1998 and a 65-homer season in 1999.  Of course, the assumption was that Hank Aaron’s 755 career home runs record was in jeopardy because of Mark McGwire…

The box top has pictures of “Record-Holding Sluggers Mark McGwire and Hank Aaron”.  The box advertises “Randomly Inserted: Hank Aaron & Mark McGwire Reprints”.

National League All-Topps Team cards were featured in series 1 packs, while American League All-Topps Team cards were featured in series 2 packs.

Depends on which Hank Aaron card you have. The regular issue #44 is valued at $0.30-$0.75. There is an insert set of reprinted Hank Aaron cards valued at $2-$5 per card. The Chrome (shiny) versions of the insert set reprint cards are valued $4-$10. The 1954 rookie reprint of the Hank Aaron set is worth more than the other cards in the set. Finally, the autographed Aaron cards are worth $200-$500.
